GMNC was proud to showcase our wonderful trails on what everyone agreed was a fabulous day of racing at Skyway. The combination of great weather, top-notch grooming, a challenging but fun course and some friendly competition made this race a winner. It was great to have teams from University of Wyoming, Air Force, Colorado State, Montana State, Western Colorado University, Colorado College, our host Colorado Mesa University plus a healthy contingent of avid citizen racers all pushing hard and earning their soup and cookies. When the lead pack crested the final hill it looked like it would be a photo finish but John Henry Paluszek pulled slightly ahead for the win ahead of Albert Hesse and Kaj Taylor. CMU coach Ella DeWolf handily won the women's side ahead of Bria Rickert. In third for women was Dewa Ilg, very impressive at only 14 years old!
