Thin snow? GMNC can still put on a fun and competitive 10K on Grand Mesa! Our super grooming crew led by Tigran Bailey has been doing lots of shoveling and massaging to make the skiing top notch considering what they had to work with. And it was fast! Edwin Ryerson led the pack in a blazing 27:27. Macayla Scheidt, skiing with the Colorado Mesa Univ. team, was the first woman in. They made the uphill finish look effortless!
Super soup schlepper Danielle Carre saved the day by jumping into emergency duty when we ended up short handed. That gave her son Asa a chance to revive his Skyway racing career which has been on hold for quite a few years. He doesn’t seem to have missed a beat and he smoked his old man, Brad. Snow begin falling as the race tapered down. We hope it starts to pile up!
