Volunteers make up the backbone of GMNC. We could not do what we do without our generous volunteers.
This past season volunteers donated over 1000 hours of service to the organization doing trail maintenance, assisting at social events and races, and working as Trail Ambassadors. We would love to have you join our team!
Here are some of our current volunteer opportunities:
Volunteer to help with the Fall Silent Auction Fundraiser.
We are currently seeking volunteers to form a committee to assist in organizing our first Silent Auction to be held virtually and live this fall. Work on this committee will include helping with soliciting and collecting donation items, helping to organize the in-person event to be held in October, and working with the volunteer team to coordinate other details of this fundraiser event. The committee will meet twice monthly by Zoom starting in July. The time of the meeting will be determined depending on availability of committee members. For more information or to join this team, contact melissa@gmnc.org
Volunteer to help with summer and fall trail maintenance.
Late summer and early fall are when we give our ski trails a lot of TLC. Work can include raking, chainsawing, sign replacement and/or posting, and general preparation for the winter season. If you’d like to be part of this team that maintains the GMNC trails at Ward, Skyway, and County Line, contact melissa@gmnc.org. Notices are sent out via SignUp Genius as volunteer opportunities become available.
Keep checking back! As summer progresses to fall and fall to winter, different opportunities will present themselves! To learn more about volunteering with the GMNC, contact melissa@gmnc.org
