Odd Bersvendnsen classic skiing

This masters ski clinic is for advanced skiers that would like to learn advanced skills and techniques in both Classic and Skating. It is two days of ski techniques: mornings concentrate on classic skills and afternoons are skating technique. 

High-powered Odd Bersvendsen and assistants from the Colorado Nordic Masters Group will be instructing this early season clinic. Get some great tips and technique from a world-class master skier from Norway.

Odd-Aage Bersvendsen was born in a place in northern Norway called Harstad, in 1958 and started skiing at 2 years old. Odd started racing at 6, and achieved many titles in Norway as a teen. He went on to compete in the Norwegian Junior Nationals, Army, and ski Orienteering competitions doing very well. He’s competed in 4 Norwegian Birkebeinerrenn, getting a medal every time for finishing well in his age group. Odd has competed in 10 World Loppets scattered around the globe, always finishing near the top of his age group. Odd raced classic in the American Birkebeiner in 2012 finishing 2nd overall in the whole field. He has participated in several World Masters, and has medaled in both individual and relay races. Odd has done well in many races here in the states as a master, including Methow-Valley Pursuit, Alley Loop, Boulder Mt Tour, Stage Coach, Stampede, etc.

Odd is one of the founders and primary coaches for Colorado Nordic Masters in Grand County, and lives in Fraser with his wife Sally Brassill. When not coaching, Odd can be found adventuring on his backcountry skis, bike or orienteering. His previous endeavors focused on mechanical engineering and as a corporate in defense, automotive and medical industries.

Maximum participants per instructor: 10 skiers, max. 20-25 people

  • Ability level: advanced to racer level
  • Gear: classic and skate ski equipment

Safety Protocol:
