Interested in becoming more involved with the Grand Mesa Nordic Council community?! Join us for a GMNC Trail Ambassador training session! Trail Ambassadors are a team of skiers and snowshoers that represent the friendly face of GMNC out on the trails, helping to assist and educate other trail-users on trail etiquette and rules in a kind and inclusive way. Ambassadors are not intended to be a “policing” presence on the trails, but rather help to create a welcoming, community environment for anyone wishing to use the trails. Ambassadors do not need to be “expert” skiers or snowshoers, but it would be helpful to have a general understanding of the GMNC’s trail systems and operations (ie. maintenance, grooming, etc.). This is a very low-key and flexible way to get involved with the GMNC. If this is you, contact melissa@gmnc.org for more details or to register for a training.
