This progressive series of four lessons aims to help skiers skate ski better and faster while having more fun. These clinics are aimed at advanced beginner to intermediate skiers. Participants should have a season of skiing behind them. Skills covered in these clinics include skating technique fundamentals, V1 technique, climbing, V2 and V2 alternate, and adapting various techniques to terrain and transitions. Clinic series is limited to ten participants (five per session).
Dates:
Thursday, November 30 – Evaluation Session – noon to 1 pm. During this session, participants will be split into two groups, according to ability.

Group 1 – 10:00 to 11:30 am
Group 2 – 12:30 to 2 pm

Group 1 – 10:00 to 11:30 am
Group 2 – 12:30 to 2 pm

Prerequisite skills:
-Ability to ski one hour comfortably
-Capable of handling intermediate trails
-Knowledge of at least one poling technique
-Ability to manage moderate downhills and control your speed on steep downhills

Lori Anderson has been Nordic skiing for over 30 years. She moved to Mesa in 2017 and soon became an active member in GMNC, including as a Nordic Instructor last season. She was involved in the Progressive Skate Ski Clinic last year and is eager to share new insights and different perspectives this year.
