You are invited to join us on Saturday, February 10th from 10AM-2PM at Skyway Trailhead for Kids Winter Games! Presented by Friends of Youth & Nature and the Kampe Foundation, this family-friendly event will feature free ski rentals for kids offered by The Nature Connection and a free kids’ ski lesson offered by the Grand Valley Nordic Ski Club. Other activities include age-appropriate Nordic ski races, a scavenger hunt, obstacle course, goodie bags for the first 50 participants, and more. This is a free event open to all community members with the intention of getting kids and families outdoors enjoying our incredible trails and public lands.
The Nature Connection will be lending free skis for kids and skis for adults for a suggested donation of $10 from 10AM-2PM, and the Grand Valley Nordic Ski Club will be offering a free kids’ ski lesson starting at 11AM. To best plan for the lesson, please pre-register your child(ren) by emailing email@example.com by Thursday, February 8th. This lesson is suitable for kids ages 3 and up. If planning on attending the lesson, please arrive to get set up with skis no later than 10:30AM.
