Grand Mesa Nordic Masters Group

This is a ski group for proficient skiers who want to ski with others and hone skills and techniques. Think of it as a meetup group with a little instruction thrown in. The instruction in this group will be performance-oriented, but anyone who wants to improve their skiing ability is welcome. We will split into ability groups as appropriate, and no one will be left behind. Coaches work with each attendee on individual feedback.

The group is appropriate for intermediate to advanced skiers, but is not for total beginners. The group is coached by Dave and Christie Aschwanden and Meghan Dutcher with occasional help from other GMNC instructors.

The sessions happen at SKYWAY every Wednesday from 2pm to 3:30pm in January and February and will be evenly split between classic and skating techniques. Exact schedule of techniques and skills will be set based on feedback and requests from participants.  Check back here for schedule updates. Upon registration, you’ll be added to a communications lists to receive latest updates.

Jan 7 is classic.
Jan 14 is skate.
Jan 21 is classic.
Jan 28 is skate.
Feb 4 is classic.
Feb 11 is skate.
Feb 18 is classic.
Feb 25 is skate.

We will usually alternate between the two techniques week to week, but may make adjustments as needed to accomodate conditions. (If it’s snowing hard, we will favor classic instead of skate.) Direct questions to christie @gmnc.org

Cost:
$125 for all 8 sessions.
$100 for 4 sessions.
$30 drop in fee for single sessions
