New this year! We’re holding a 15km freestyle race to help you work up to the 20km Mesa Meltdown (March 17). Be a part of this inaugural event and accept the challenge of skiing 15km on some Colorado’s finest trails.
If 15km is more than you want to bite off, we’re also offering a 5km tour (not timed).
GMNC’s races are challenging for top athletes, but they’re also a lot of fun for the rest of us who just want to get out and test ourselves against a beautiful, well-groomed course.
The Feb 15 is a 15km freestyle race, so you can skate or classic ski (but prizes are awarded according to finish, not technique). The course route will depend on snow conditions.
Bib pickup and start are at Skyway Trailhead off of Highway 65 on the Grand Mesa.
The race and tour start at 11 am.
$25 entry fee for current members of the GMNC (discount taken at checkout)
$30 entry fee for non-members
Online registration has ends at 7pm the night before, but race day registration is available for an extra $5.
NOTE: Road closures do happen on Grand Mesa, and there can be weather so nasty even us nordic stalwarts find it necessary to postpone a race. Please check the website or our Facebook page for late-breaking news regarding races before heading up.
