The Grand Mesa Nordic Council’s trails are entirely on US Forest Service land. The GMNC operates on these lands under a Special Use Permit that explicitly defines the rights and responsibilities within the ski area. Before each ski season, the GMNC submits an Annual Operating Plan that outlines all planned events, lessons, and any changes to signs or other infrastructure. This fall the GMNC updated its Master Development Plan, a vision of where the organization hopes to grow and change over the next decade.
