GMNC Capital Equipment Reserve Fund
We all agree that skiing on pristine trails on the Grand Mesa requires modern and capable equipment. With this in mind, the GMNC Finance Committee met in 2014 to share ideas on how GMNC funds could support the future of Nordic skiing on the Grand Mesa. In order to raise money to replace aging equipment (a PistenBully and 3 snowmobiles), the Finance Committee launched the Capital Equipment Reserve Fund (CERF) Campaign. The GMNC Board set a CERF goal of $230k by January 1, 2018.
Through the generous contributions of members and the Jean Thomas Lambert Foundation, GMNC reached this goal in the fall of 2016, enabling the purchase of a new PistenBully 400. As a result, we have enjoyed a quantum leap in quality of grooming and exceptional ski experiences.
However, GMNC’s equipment needs do not stop here. Our capital equipment replacement plan spans the next 20 years. We want to continue to provide the superb skiing conditions that are our members value and expect well into the future.
How can you help? Make a donation to the CERF today! Just click on the button below. These dedicated funds will be combined with other potential funding sources (grants, used equipment sales, etc.) to ensure the continuation of world-class grooming on Grand Mesa.
Please consider what you can do to propel the CERF Campaign forward. You will help the GMNC continue to provide exceptional and beautiful ski experiences in Western Colorado!
