Ward trail is now nicely groomed from top to bottom. Aspens, conifer stands, and open meadows make this a very interesting route for both skiing and snowshoeing. Photo from around noon on 10March2018.

Great conditions at Skyway yesterday, finally everything is covered. Perfect corduroy by the grooming crew, nice job!
The groomers had the trails perfect today. Between the excellent grooming and finally waxing right, it made for fast skiing. Thx to the council volunteers for their hard work.
Everything came together today, as the groomers were able to knock out Ward, Summit, and Big Dog snowshoe trail, and the snowcat laid down some perfect tracks and skating lanes at Skyway and County Line. The weather has warmed some, so conditions were much faster than...
Nearly 2 ft of light powder snow in the past 2 days (Feb 22 and 23) in the Ward area. Photo taken at the junction of Sheep and East Ward Trails (near Trail Sign No. 12). The hills were slow this morning and breaking on the flat and uphill was work!
As of mid-day on Feb 22, there were 7 to 8 inches of very light new snow in the lower Ward Trail area, resting on a fairly widespread "sun crust." At least 10 people were skiing Ward and Staircase Trails this morning. The Ward Trail route (packed last Sunday) is still...
